for workshops and paper sessions
You are kindly invited to submit an abstract for presentation at the congress.
First deadline for abstract submission is 1 December 2008.
You will be notified whether your abstract has been accepted or not by 15 January 2009.
Second deadline for abstract submission is 1 February 2009
The second and last deadline for submission is 1 February but if, for some reason or other, you have been prevented from submitting your abstract prior to this date, we are willing to review abstracts also later than this.
However, please note that there is a chance that the programme might be fully booked.
For submissions prior to 1 February you will be notified whether your abstract has been accepted or not by 15 March 2009.
For later submissions you will be notified by latest 1 April.

There will be workshops and paper sessions on Tuesday and Thursday at the congress.
Workshops should last 50 minutes in all. They should be planned in order to allow time for discussions among the participants.
Paper sessions should last 20 minutes in all, including time for questions.
Language
Your abstract must be submitted in English. However, at the congress you may use English, French or Spanish for your oral presentation.
There will not be interpretation at workshops and paper sessions.

Guidelines for submission of abstracts

Authors presenting abstracts must register immediately after they have been notified that their abstract has been accepted.

Abstracts must be submitted in English.

Titles should be entered in the field "Abstract title" (not as part of the abstract) and should contain no more than 20 words or 70 characters including spaces. Please start with a Capital letter and continue with small letters.

Select either workshop or paper session with the relevant theme.

Abstract text should be entered in the field "Abstract Text " and should contain no more than 2500 characters. The system will not allow you to enter more than 2500 characters. Do not leave blank lines. Use standard abbreviations. Place a special or unusual abbreviation in parenthesis after the full word the first time it appears. Write numbers as numerals rather than words. Please avoid references. However, if references are used they should be included in the text as: (Authors, journal, year, volume, pages).

Authors' names and institutions should be entered in the appropriate fields. The following data is needed for the "Affiliation Field" - Name of the Institution, Department, City and Country.

Abstracts must be in comprehensible English and must conform to the guidelines or they will not be accepted.
